Day 1: Arrival at Phnom Penh
Upon arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport, you will be welcomed and picked up by our tour guide and driver, then transferred to the hotel for check in. After that, we will move out for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will start visiting the capital city of Phnom Penh: Visit the Independent Monument, the National Museum, the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda. Silver Pagoda has a special name because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. We will end the day with Wat Phnom.
Day 2: Phnom Penh City tour
After breakfast, drive to visit the notorious Killing Fields ” ChoeungEk” 15km southwest of Phnom Penh. This one is the site of brutal executions of more than 17,000 individuals, most of whom first suffered through interrogations, torture and deprivation in ToulSleng Prison during Pol Pot regime (from 1975–1979). Then return to city center to enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
This afternoon, continue to visit TuolSleng Genocide Museum (S21 prison). This prison was a high school, and used as a prison by Pol Pot’s security forces and became the largest center for detention and torture during the rule of the Khmer Rouge.You’ll have a chance to meet with one of the few survivors kept there by the Khmer Rouge with interaction about his time of imprisonment.
Then we will visit and have a chance to shop at one of the city’s lively open markets, PsarToul Tom Pong; all called the “Russian Market” where anything and everything is for sales. Late afternoon, enjoy a significant sunset cruise on the mystic Mekong River with an ice-chest of red/white wine, snacks and fruits to be served.
Day 3: DAY 3: PHNOM PENH - KAMPONG CHAM
Have breakfast at hotel. Depart to Kompong Cham by National Road NO. 6, on the way take break at Spider market. Continue to Kompong Cham to view examples of colonial architecture. Afternoon visit Wat Nokhor Bachey with its ancient temple, then continue visit Han Chey Mountain for watching view of Tonle Mekong from the hill and surrounding landscape till sunset. Overnight stay at hotel
Day 4: Kompong Cham – Kompong Thom – Siem Riep
Have breakfast at hotel. Depart to Kompong Cham by National Road NO. 6, on the way take break at Spider market. Continue to Kompong Cham to view examples of colonial architecture. Day 5: Siem Riep City tour
This morning, after breakfast, we going to visit Rolous group, the first city of Angkorian including of: Preah Koh temple, Bakong Temple and Lo Lei temple. Afternoon, Visit to Banteay Srei temple (10th century), the pink sandstone temple regarded as the jewel in the crown of Classical Khmer Art. Then continue your visit to Banteay Samre in the afternoon.
Day 6: Siem Riep tour
Visit the antique capital of Angkor Thom (12th century): the South Gate with its huge statues depicting the churning of the ocean of milk, the Bayon Temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara, the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace, and the Terrace of the Leper King. Continue to visit Ta Prohm temple, one of the most beautiful temples in the area. Afternoon visit to the most famous temples of Angkor: Angkor Wat. The world wonders build in 12th century. Angkor Wat’s five towers symbolize Meru’s five peaks - the enclosing wall represents the mountains at the edge of the world and the surrounding moat, the ocean beyond. Enjoy the sunset at Bakheng Mountain with 65 m high with the view from the hill top and Transfer back to hotel.
Day 7: Departure from Siem Riep
Have breakfast at hotel. Morning, we will visit the floating village of Chong Khneas by boat trip with traditional wooden boat on the Tonle Sap Lake. The "Great Lake" of Cambodia, one of the wonders of South East Asia. Experience with ox-cart riding throughout the local village on the way back to downtown. Afternoon, visit to “Le Artisans d’Angkor - Chantiers Ecoles” the art & caving school. Take Time leisure at local market (If time permits). Transfer to Siem Reap International Airport for departure flight to the next destination.
